Trees reflected in the river . Half way between , the horizon line is half way up the square part of the painting . ( That is 27 “ )Painted on two poplar panels ,the central joint between left and right may have had some restoration .Painting 66 x 54

Piero has the towers of Borgo Sansepolcro lit from the right by early mornig sunlight .The city wall can be seen to the right of the figure and to the left the Porta dei Ponte .

Piero did this on wood panel ,gesso primed ,painting in egg tempera . Photo edited with contrast from Sony 5000 camera .
