Hermaphroditus asleep 

Artists ofter use Homers Metamorphoses as a source for paintings but this one has to do with ophthalmology and a diagnosis of low tension glaucoma given to the artuistt in 2005 after a visit to the opticians to get new glasses aand tests which showed areas of both eyes visual fields to be missing . At first this was very worrying but now after twenty years with the condition not getting any worse and a change of sleep posture so as to not but pressure on the eyes,,the title of the painting might be KEEP ON DOING YPTHAT AND YOU LL GO BLIND, The pose is taken from a roman copy of a greek sculpture .
