St Antony’s from the harbour. The original chapel had fallen into disuse .The penitential lifestyle of the monks originating with Antony the great was a source of amusement to the pagan locals. But The name still attached to the place and when later monks from the Benedictine order with its more lenient Manner brought their religion to the area And the local fisherman started to use the chapel again it was rededicated to Saint Anthony of Padua . The one who preached to the fishes, More appropriately.
